Gross vs net burn, with trailing 3-month line
2026-02: a one-time $2.4M annual prepay makes single-month
net burn go briefly negative. It is a real cash movement, so it sits in
these bars — but it is not operating burn, which is why runway
(below) is measured on recurring burn only. A trailing-3-month average is
too coarse to absorb a one-time item this large; it would suppress burn for
three months and then snap back, printing a runway cliff that isn't real.
Runway trajectory, with the fundraise trigger
The slope matters more than the level: a company can grow
revenue while runway shrinks. When the blue line crosses the dashed one,
the raise must begin — that crossing date is the only date on this page a
board truly needs.
